Julie Shulman is a writer, designer, and general creative roustabout living near Boston with her husband and three boys.

She recently completed her MFA in creative writing at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, where she was a merit scholar.

Her work is featured in multiple journals and anthologies. Julie had the opportunity to be supported by The Ou-telier residency in April 2026.
She was a finalist for the Slice Poetry Chapbook Contest and winner of the 2026 Wil Mills Chapbook Contest for her manuscript Erratics.
